Mount Horeb Church Cemetery a final resting place for your loved one

The cemetery has been in existence since 1861 and many graves are resting places for pioneers that settled the area.  There are almost 200 plots in the old cemetery, many are unmarked and some have much-weathered stones that are in various aged states of repair.

The Mount Horeb United Church hosts a service 9 am every Sunday. All are welcome.

There are over 30 plots available in this original section of land beside the church.   The cemetery board has worked hard to open the parcel of land to the south that was aquired by the cemetery board over 30 years ago for expansion.  This parcel offers a further 200 plots for burial in this tranquil country setting.

To inquire about purchasing a plot or for more information about plots at Mount Horeb Church Cemetery please contact:

The cemetery is located on Hillhead road and is nestled in farm fields and fence rows of trees and shrubs.  It is well kept and many founding families still have loved ones that honour memory with flowers.  The cemetery is fenced and visitors are welcome from daylight to sunset each day. Rain barrels are present to assist family members with watering, and watering cans are also available.

The cemetery board is always looking for suggestions to improve the grounds and their appeal as a final resting place. The Memorial Sunday Church Service and Decoration Day are held the second Sunday in June each year.
